The Australian Ellesmere Island Arctic Expedition, 1992
Eric's first polar expedition. In 1992, with Dr. Richard Smith and Nick Fairfax, Eric skied across Ellesmere's northern and largest icecap. His team made an ascent of Barbeau Peak, the island's highest mountain, possibly the first from sea level. Twenty three days and 300km of pure ice and mountain wilderness.
