Bruce, Finally did my 2700 mile flight back to Florida. Kind of the morning after from our trip. The best part is the grin that stays with you no matter how tired and mired back in reality. The grin stays.
In fact I still have it. Nymphing for trout, casting to rising trout, catching trout while I was sitting in the seat in the drift boat resting and finally trout grinning at me and me grinning at them because it was too
dark for my poor old eyes to run my tired old body.

Seriously Bruce you were great in the areas a guide needs to know - where the fish are - what they are taking and how to get them in the boat and secondly you were great as a fishing buddy that you can
talk to about the world and pass that time between those peaks of shear excitement.

You may use me as a reference for anyone you wish. I look forward to maybe some fall excitement later on this year. Keep up
the good work!

Bruce, My experience in Washington was one I'll always remember and the fishing trip and the float
down the Yakima River was a real highlight. I'll never forget the big fight that fish gave me, when we
were floating down the river and running into your wife on the rise over the river and you guys discussing dinner plans " what a great set up you have" and finally the scenery, well breathtaking!
If you ever make it East please let me show you around. It was great meeting you and I wish you
and your family happy trails.......Rob

Hi Bruce,

Peter and I sure had a great time fishing. Thanks. The web site for the guide I mentioned is www.piscatorialpursuits.com. We look forward to seeing those pictures.

Jim

Bruce, Thanks again for the great day of fishing on the Yak. yesterday. Certainly the most productive I've had on the river. Your expertise, the river conditions, and the weather all came together at one
time....it was cosmic! I hope to do it again and will certainly recommend you to others. Again, thanks.

Norm

P.S. I'll be watching your website for those pictures.

A belated thank you for a great day of fishing last Sunday. That was among my more enjoyable days
on the river....anchoring under a full moon with stogies was a capper!

Hey...just wanted to see if you were still up for guiding my parents on Saturday, September 9th My dad has been on the Yak once...by my mom will be a total newbie. With any luck I'll get them out for
some casting practice before we go. I thought I'd follow along in my kick boat.

Question for you....I'd planned to use Ryan's rods, but he may be on a trip. Any recommendations
on where to track down some rental rods for my folks?

This was my first time on time on the Yakima river, and it definitely won't be the last. My friend Steve  and I want to give our guide Bruce Skotland, thanks again. Bruce was down to earth and
professional. When were missing more strikes than we were hitting, Bruce gave us some great tips and
greater conversation. Bruce, Thank you very much and we'll see you next year.

Thanks again Guys. Sincerely Rich.

Bruce,

I just wanted to get back with you and let you know that we had a great time
Thursday! It definitely made for a memorable trip for my son and me. Thanks
for your guidance, patience and easy-going nature. The commentary on Yakima
Canyon nature, hydrodynamics, fly fishing, et al was very enjoyable!

Thanks again,

Jim and Stu

Bruce:
I'm the guy who fished under your patient guidance a week ago, last
Saturday with Casey from Anahiem. Even in you don't remember me, you will
sure as hell remember the fish that nearly spooled me twice before wrapping
the leader around a rock and breaking me off. Was there anything I should
have done (and didn't) in fighting that fish that might have made a
difference???? I felt like a lightweight boxer who suddenly found himself
in the ring with the heavy weight champion.
My real reason for this e-mail is my habit of taking notes on every
fishing outing, especially learning techniques new to me. Several times we
were fishing with a second smaller fly on a dropper using the larger dry as
an indicator.
Q #1 -- Do I remember correctly that dropper as about 2' of 5X tippet?
Q #2 -- Was the nymph a Pheasant Tail bead head, about #12?

I think I remember the rest. The Tarantula and the Chernobyl Ant were both
very effective. The big bugs do work, at least they did that day.

Thanks again for the great day of fishing. I plan to come back with my
fishing buddy Dick  sometime in October and with my son Mark
next summer.

Thanks for the great time on the Yakima. Scott and I really enjoyed it.
I've sent your name to a few of the attorneys in the firm with a
recommendation, hopefully they'll call.

Would you mind putting our pictures back on the web for a day or so. I'd
like to download them so I have copies. Scott didn't tell me when they were
up (until last week when we were on vacation) so I never had a chance to see
them.

Thanks.

Hi Bruce. Thanks again for a great day on the river Saturday. I look forward to seeing those pictures. If you do get a chance to pop the one of my fish up on the site for a day I’d appreciate you mailing me
and letting me know. My son would flip. Also, do you have another guide you work with if there is a group of four? I’ve got another group of 4 of us who might want to take a trip in mid or even late
October. It was a pleasure meeting you and Bev.

Hi Bruce. Eliot and I wanted to say a big thanks for making our fishing trip
not only successful but really fun. I'm especially grateful for your
patience with Eliot. I know that pound of ear he took off had to hurt. And
the little anchor dropping incident...well, we talked about it and I don't
anticipate anything like that ever happening again. I suspect (and hope)
that Eliot is hooked for life!

Jeff

P.S. Looking for more good excuses to come back over this year: business
clients perhaps?

Bruce
Thanks for the great day on the Yakima last Wednesday. Don and I had a great time, and the two big ones I hooked were frosting on the cake.

I'll keep an eye on the website for my fish pictures.

Hi Bruce-
Thanks again for Friday! I had a blast.
I'm in pain over here and will continue to be
as no one in the office will believe my
sorted tales of battling fish the size
of some peoples house pets.
When you have our pictures developed please
let me know!
Best-

Bruce,

I wanted to thank you again for the great trip we had on the Yakima. We
learned a heck of a lot about the river, flies, casting--and then of course
there was the incredible scenery. Thanks for giving us a great experience!

The day after our trip we ended up on Lake Lenore and caught some nice Cuts.
