VILLA DAMECUTA:
Villa Damecuta dates back to the Roman epoque and it's still possible to visit it nowadays. Finds resulted from excavations that took place here in 1937 reveal that this villa had rich ornaments, a marble floor and many works of art as furnishings.
Villa Damecuta still keeps an original loggia on a panoramic spot that stands over colums and arches similar to those of Villa Jovis. A CUBICULUM, ancient alcove with a small terrace vertically on the sea, will make you breath the hedonistic atmosphere that always accompanied the life of Romans in Capri. Ashes found on the terrace proved that also this Villa has been damaged by the famous eruption of the Vesuvius 79 a.D.

LA SCALA FENICIA:
More than 800 steps join Capri and Anacapri. This stair was built by the greeks in the rock of Monte Solaro. It's been the only street between the two localities till the 1877.
