Jowers Antique Appliances IntroduceAt Jowers Antique Appliances, our talented and dedicated craftsmen are our chief asset. It is through teamwork, skill and dedication that we are able to recreate the beautiful antique refrigerators and stoves shown on this website. We take pride in introducing the good folks that have restored our current line of stock and who will turn your old appliances into a truly unique and functional conversation piece. John Jowers was born and raised in Clayton, graduated Auburn University with degree in business management and marketing. John grew up in the family business established by his father in 1948, and has been in the business full time since 1980. He is a certified AHAM-NARDA refrigerator repair specialist. John has an extensive history in appliance marketing, repair and restoration. Cathy Jowers, John's wife, was born in Ames, Iowa and raised in Huntsville, Alabama. She graduated from Auburn University with Clint Harbin, born in Dublin, Georgia, has a degree in Cellular Biology, with a minor in Chemistry. On his second go 'round with Antique Appliances.Com, Clint first came to us in 1995, spending 4 years in the trenches. In 1999, he decided to strike out on his own, but just couldn't get the love for these old appliances out of his blood! He's been back with us since the summer of 2002, managing the office, the phones, the e-mails, the parts room and everything else we throw at him! Ladies, he's taken! He has a lovely wife, (Italian at that!) and Clint is the father of 5, with one grandson! Abe Trevino is originally from Donna, TX. He was a Petty Officer Second Class in the United States Navy where he was trained by the military as an Electricians Mate and is skilled at all aspects of electrical wiring and trouble shooting. Abe is a natural when it comes to adapting, modifying and fabricating needed parts Abe now resides near Clayton with his wife Birdie and their two children. Peter Horn - born in Philadelphia, PA. Peter has been with the company since 1999. Peter is a unique young man, taking great pride in his work with enthusiasm and emphasis on detail. Peter enjoys tennis, music and fatherhood. Laurent B. Saucier, better know as Larry (pictured to the right), comes to us from Moret-Sur-Loing, France. Although born in France, his family moved to the states when Larry was a small child. Raised in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Larry enjoyed water sports and working on sports racing cars as a teen. Larry is married and the father of three and find the relaxing atmosphere of the Georgia Blue Ridge Mountains a great place to raise a family. Larry has been with Antique Appliances since the spring of 2001 and brings a wealth of knowledge and talent to our trade. From gas safety valve installation to custom metal fabrication, Larry takes the utmost pride in each piece he works with. We call Larry, ¡°our little Frenchman¡±....everyone should have one! Joey Penland is the new guy on our force. Joey was born and raised right here in Rabun County. Joey is a talented young man with extensive experience in metal fabrication. If it¡¯s broken or missing we just tell Joey to make a new one! Joey is a welcome addition to our restoration team. He spends his off time restoring old cars and playing with his son Bruce. Mark Rigetti - Mark was born in Las Vegas, Nevada. Mark is a ¡°drifter¡± and our best friend. He has worked for us several times over the past 10 years. Currently, he is between jobs, meaning Florida and Wyoming. We have had him sandblasting and scrubbing dirty parts (hey someone has to do it!). Mark¡¯s a ¡°big dude¡±, as you can see. He walks around with protein drinks in either hand and spends ¡°all¡± of his spare time in the gym. Mark is with us until he can make his way back to Wyoming. But we know he¡¯ll be back!!! Ladies, Mark is single and the proud father of a beautiful teenage daughter. |
