Computer Fishing
Games - Catch a Largemouth Bass Without Leaving the House!
Fishing games on
the computer have evolved quite a bit over the past two decades. The
first versions were very primitive by today's standards. When you
caught yourself a largemouth bass, it didn't look like much more than
a glitch on the computer screen. A really cool game would even beep
once in a while. Fishing games continuously evolve, and today when
you catch a largemouth bass, it looks real enough to filet.
The new computer
fishing games provide such intense realism that not only is it easy to
tell the difference between a largemouth bass and a rainbow trout, but
the scenery is enough to take your breath away. If you have a good
stereo system or headphones, the sounds of nature are also just as
amazing.
Just about every
computer and gaming platform since the early days has had some fishing
games written for it. If the last time you caught a virtual
largemouth bass was more than three or four years ago, you cannot even
imagine the intense realism that is available today.
As I said, the
beautiful graphics and sounds made possible by the new computer gaming
systems are just breathtaking. In addition to this, special
controllers for some fishing games are available to mimic the actual
process of casting and reeling in that largemouth bass.
Virtual reality
goggles seem to have gone out of style for the time being, but I sure
hope the fishing games of the future will incorporate them. It's fun
to catch largemouth bass in the living room, but it is also a little
goofy to do so while sitting next to a bookcase and television set.
With the right virtual reality equipment, I think I might never leave
the simulated lake.
