Both La Bergerie and La Fermiere have 3 twin garden and 2 first floor bedrooms, all with private shower/wc (one of La Bergerie's garden bedrooms is adapted for a wheelchair). La Fermiere is of traditional style, with granite walls and oak beams and an open plan kitchen/living room. La Bergerie has a beautifully furnished living/dining room and separate catering kitchen. Ty Cidre, a converted, thatched, cider barn, in the same grounds, a delightful complement to the two farmhouse gites and perfect for 2. For the energetic, there is a 10mx5m heated swimming pool (with sliding dome cover for extra security), boules court, garden badminton and table tennis and an indoor tennis court in the village. All this set in 3 acres of rambling garden in the Valley of the River Blavet, an enchanting region any time of the year for walking, cycling, fishing, relaxing or exploring. The beautiful inland sea of the Golfe du Morbihan, pretty bays, beaches and many places of interest are all within easy reach. Our guests can self cater, or we offer the option of Bed & Breakfast and/or evening meals in La Bergerie. La Chenaie, a perfect place to relax or from which to explore Southern Brittany, a rich and varied region with something for everyone, including. - Vannes – with its old town and port, aquarium, butterfly house, boat trips around the inland sea of the Gulf of Morbihan and across to Ile aux Moines and Ile d’Arz. Market day Wednesday and Saturday Auray – with its old port of St Goustan and market day Monday mornings. Quiberon – Peninsula, with nice beaches one side and the cote sauvage the other. From Quiberon you can take the boat to Belle Ile where you can hire mobylettes and bikes to tour this beautiful island; Carnac – with its mysterious megalithic standing stones, pretty beaches and Sunday market. Camors Adventure park for adults and children. Quimper – center of the famous potteries and its Musee des Beaux Arts Pont Scorff with its Zoo and the Coeur des Métiers d’Art presenting the work of a number of artisans, including jewellery, glass, leather and pottery artists; Guidel Plages and Larmor Plage are the closest beaches and then there is Erdeven, Etel, Carnac Plage, St Colombon and Kervillen. The inlet of the Etel and for windsurfing, Le Pouldu. St Nicholas des eaux on the River Blavet. Lovely riverside location including Creperies and Restaurant. In season there are boat trips and Canadian style canoes and kayaks for hire. Josselin – with its cobbled streets, the chateau and the Dolls Museum Cartopole in Baud – a museum of postcards, which gives an excellent insight in to Breton life and culture. Pont Aven – where Gaugin and other painters found inspiration. Art dans les Chapelles. June – September. Highly Recommended. A circuit of chapels starting at St Nicodeme. Different artists are invited to present one or more of his/her works that compliments a chapel.. A wonderful way to discover the countryside and view some very interesting works by modern artists. It is well worth exploring the countryside of the River Blavet and further inland where you can find pretty villages, old chapels and some lovely views.
