Paris, FranceFrom the rocky cliffs of the north to the warm, azure waters of the French Riviera, France is a vast land filled with colorful history. Once the dominant power of Europe, it is the resting place of the great military leader, Napoleon. It’s also a land of lush green fields, magnificent mountains, fine art and world-renown wines and champagnes. France’s capital, Paris, is known as one of the most romantic and cultural cities in the world, offering many things to see and do. Avid photographers take note as this “city of light” is an outdoor museum of art and architecture, hosting an array of many spectacular buildings and monuments such as the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, Moulin Rouge, Sacré-Coeur and the famous Notre Dame. Be sure to visit some of the many excellent museums and art galleries showcasing art from master painters and sculptors of the past, such as the Musée D'Orsay, Centre Pompidou and, of course, The Louvre—the world's most famous museum and home of the Mona Lisa painting. Reigning as one of the fashion capitals of the world, Paris is a shopper’s dream with many haute couture fashion houses and smaller boutiques. It is also a diner’s delight. To the French, eating is an art form. Why not take the same approach and relax at a café to sip coffee or nibble on pastries, savor a glass of French wine and cheese or enjoy a freshly baked baguette from a local bakery (boulangerie). Come and visit the land of superb culture, fine art, fine wine and fabulous cuisine. Viva la France. |
