Passive Income, Defined
About.com : "passive income, on the other hand, is income that does not require your direct involvement. Some kinds of passive income you may be familiar with include owning rental property, royalties on an invention or creative work, and network marketing. If you want to earn more, work less, and have a decent retirement, you're going to have to start creating income streams that do not require your direct involvement. Whether you're just starting your business, or you've been running it a while, the sooner you start thinking about how you are going to shift your business model to create more passive income, the sooner you can achieve personal and financial freedom."

Carve out some time every week - at least the equivalent of one day - that is strictly devoted to developing your business. It's the time version of the old savings advice: pay yourself first. Do the same with your time. Put it on your schedule each week and make it sacred.
The first activity to do in that time is planning. Some of you may hate this idea while others love it. But if you don't make a plan for how you're going to build your business, it likely won't get built!
Many of my clients are successful professionals when it comes to attracting and serving clients, but they feel overwhelmed when they look at the passive income possibilities that usually involve online marketing.
There are so many different products one can create, so many marketing techniques, and the worst part, all that technology to understand! Start by making a plan. And if it helps, find someone knowledgeable to work with so you can weed through the options and technology choices.
Once you have a plan, use your 'sacred' business development time each week to move the plan forward. Some of the time will be spent on new
tasks from your plan and some may be part of the system you're putting in place with the plan.
For example, working on your website - on your own or with a designer - is creating something new for your business. Whereas, putting out your next ezine issue or posting an article in an article bank online are both part of your ongoing marketing activities in the system you've put into place.
Make sure before long you're creating products. Doing that and marketing them well will start those streams of passive income , allowing to make more money without trading more of your time for it.So, the point is not to ignore the absolutely essential business building activities just because they aren't urgent. Make time each week for them and don't steal it away for other things!

Can Blogging Produce a Passive Income ?
ProBlogger :
The question I've been asked a number of times by friends is whether my blogging strategy is one in which I'm building a passive income ?
Its a good question which I'd like to answer in the affirmative - but am beginning to see that I can not. When I first started blogging with a commercial mindset I had lofty dreams of my blogs getting to a point where they would be able to earn me an ongoing large amount of money - Passive . My hope that blogging would enable me to not only give up my day job but that it would enable me to give all of my time to community and charity projects that would benefit others (my true passion).
I've been asking myself this same questions recently, and like Darren, don't think that the medium is conducive of a passive income . By definition, weblogs are frequently updated websites. If I leave a site fallow, it will continue to earn advertising revenue, but eventually the free traffic will all but dry up.
Luckily the effort required to maintain and grow the site is not great, so maybe we can agree that blogging creates almost passive income .

PPC - Absentee Owner or Passive Income
passive income or absentee owner opportunity. This established PPC Income business for sale pretty much runs itself. When you do have to work those few hours a month you can do it from your beach house, your mountain cabin, or on the cruise ship in the Caribbean. When you are ready to get back to work you can develop this URL (domain name) from the glass of milk revenue into a cash cow.
What is PPC income? View these links: www.illinois. com ? www.Sheboygan. com for examples. Remember to hit your back button to return to this page. On each of the above websites every business link that you see is an advertisement. When any link is clicked the owner of the website receives a payment. This ?payment for a click? (pay per click, or PPC) may only be $.01 or for certain highly desired clicks could be as much as $20.00. These types of E-commerce PPC Income websites are most often managed by an intermediary who maintains your website and your ?affiliates? (the advertisers that pay you per click). The intermediary receives a percentage of your PPC income, which ranges from 66% to 25%, and sends you a check or deposits the money directly to your special account at PayPal (there are others) where you can write checks against the account or withdraw money at an ATM. Other passive income programs include pay-per-lead and pay-per-sale.
The business for sale is a well known geographic location URL (domain name) and generates leads for vacation and travel services. This E-commerce website has more than 70,000 unique visitors a day. The domain name of the website ranks organically high in search engines and has had that ranking for ten years. In May, more than 1,800,000 Internet users searched for the keyword of the domain name. It is the shortest number of letters to describe this location and the asking price multiple of cash flow is in line with current methodology for PPC Income domain names. The multiples range between four and ten. These multiples are synonymous with commercial real estate, and as they say about land, they say about investment grade domain names. Steady income in a growth market makes this business for sale a powerful core to your absentee owner or passive income portfolio.
