Swordfishing Charter February 26th We headed out hoping to catch one early and get back to the dock early. The plan came together nicely. We had the first fish on at 7 and in the boat by 7:30. We gave it another hour without another bite and were back at the dock by 9:30. Nice night.
SportFishing Charter, February 25 We took a great group of Dr.'s out today. The fishing was good and the action was great but all the fish we got into were small schoolies. So, towards the end of the trip I decided to look for something big for the guys to pull on. I took the guys to a wreck and let them make a drop and we found the wreck donkey I was looking for, a 21lb Gag grouper. Nice way to finish the day.
Swordfishing Charter, February 22, 2005 We took Frank, Ken and Kyle out swordfishing last night. Nice family of experienced anglers who wanted Kyle to catch his first swordfish. It was beautiful out last night, literally no wind and flat calm. We got out there quick and I knew from the night before that the current moving slow so I looked for good current before we set up. Once I found our spot it took less then an hour to get our first fish. Kyle was on the rod, he did a great job and got the fish in about 45 minutes. The fish went 58” and 92lbs. The group wanted to give it another hour to see if we would get another bite and if not they said they were satisfied. So, we gave it another hour and we didn’t get any more action so we cranked up and headed for the inlet. Great night.
February 20th Swordfishing Charter We took Dr. Stratton and his two sons, Thomas and James out last night. We were set up by 6pm and patiently waited for the first fish. I was anxious because the bite had been early the pervious nights, but not last night. We made our first drift with out a bite then reset about 9:45. At 10:30 we had our first fish on, Thomas fought him for about 25-30 mins we got him to the boat and released him. Our next bite was a quick run off with no solid hook up. After putting out a fresh squid I was dropping the rig down when I felt a hit, then the line went slack. I cranked like hell, and before I got tight on her she jumped about 20ft from the boat. She came completely out of the water and we all got a good look at her, she then jumped two more times then sounded. She was about 225-275lbs. It was James turn in the chair, it took a while for the fight to start as the first run took about 10mins. After the first run she kept charging the boat and every time I thought the hook pulled James would get tight again. After the third time she charged the boat the hook finally pulled. We were all extremely disappointed. But, the ill mood was broken quick, we had screaming hit on the far balloon and it was Thomas’s turn in the chair again. Thomas did a really good job on the fish, after the first run I suspected the fish was foul hooked, I was hoping she didn’t come unwrapped or the hook didn’t pull out of her soft skin. Thomas did a great job, we got the fish to the boat I saw she was all wrapped around her pectoral fins and dorsal fin as she was coming in sideways. We kept this fish, which went 56”, and called it a night. Great night with great people.
Sportfishing Charter, February 19th We didn't find the Sails in our half day morning trip, but did find some 15lbs King Mackerel.

January 28th Offshore We didn't have the greatest weather, but we had non-stop action. We caught over 25 Kingfish and kept our limit which should make some great smoked fish dip. We had a 50-60lb Wahoo eat a 15lb Kingfish 50ft behind the boat, dissapointing but an impressive site.
January 27th Swordfishing Great night. We went 2-3. We had a sword on the first line we put in the water, he came to the boat quick and released him. About an hour later we had a screaming hit, but the hook pulled less then a minute into the fight. Around 9:30 the far balloon went screaming, about 15 minutes later we boated a 56" fish then called it a night.

January 11th Offshore The kingfish were biting. Half day trip this morning, we caught our limit of kingfish between 8-20lbs.
January 7th Swordfishing Charter We headed out with Paul and his family for their first Swordfishing trip. Paul and his family are no strangers to big game fishing, they have done a lot of White Marlin fishing out of Ocean City, MD and caught some big Blue Marlin in the Bahamas. We got out early and set up off Fort Lauderdale by 5:30pm. At 6pm the deep rod slowly ticked off some line, I waited second and nothing was happening so I cranked fast to make her chase it, half way up she hit like a freight train and I told Jerry to jump in the fighting chair and we strapped him in. Jerry was determined to get this fish on his own with out passing off the rod and he wanted to really put the heat to her to cut this fight short so the fish would get worn out before he did. So put the heat to her we did, we pushed the drag up to the 35lb mark 15minutes into the fight. That sword held out for a whole 2 hours and 15 minutes with 35lbs of drag. At 8:30pm the fish gave up and probably had a heart attack about 100’ under the boat, she then came to the surface on her side and the fight was completely over. It took four of us to get her in the boat, and the fish was much bigger then I thought. We brought her back to the Lighthouse Point Marina to weigh her and she tipped the scales at 268lbs. It was a great trip, Paul and his family are some of nicest we have ever fished with. It is certainty a trip none of us will soon forget.
January 7th 2005 Offshore Had a good morning trip, caught a nice dolphin and landed all three kingfish from a triple header with only three people on board. We picked up three more kingfish before we came in.
January 6, 2005 Offshore Got tired out on schoolie dolphin early then moved in shallower on the reef and caught a couple 5-10lb kingfish.
January 5, 2005 Swordfishing Charter Nice night. Released a 60lb Sword and had three others pulling drag.
