The Companion Collection Outdoor Bar 5060 Selected for Uwharrie Chair products are finish colors which exhibit a hand crafted, folk art quality. A distressed finish treatment provides an antique, weathered appearance. There are two options to choose from, the Standard Paint option where the piece is painted with 3 – 4 coats of paint, and then the edges are lightly sanded. The “washed” look is 1 application of paint, and then Uwharrie Chair sands the entire piece.The “washed” look gives the appearance that the piece has been outside for many years and extremely antique. There is no up charge for “washed”, but you must request it and no two are exactly alike. All pieces are available in all colors.
The wood used in Uwharrie Chairs Companion Outdoor Bar requires no additional protection from exposure to weather. This is why it's possible to distress the finish, giving the appearance of time-worn antiques. As Uwharrie products age naturally, their rustic character will be enhanced. You should expect to see some additional paint loss and some surface cracking; exposed wood will eventually turn dark. But even as nature matures your furniture, the wood and the product will remain structurally
Sound for years to come.
