The Upper
Klamath and all that it offers is the perfect river for
yoga retreats abundant wildlife, pristine wilderness, warm
water, exciting rapids, beautiful scenery, and excellent
meadows for yoga sessions and camping. Everyone from hardcore
rafters & Yogies is welcome to beginners in both activities
The Yoga sessions are suitable for all levels of experience,
even brand new beginners. We will make creative use
of the qualities of the river and shore to support
our practice.
Enhance your enjoyment
of the beauty and fun of rafting the Upper Klamath
with yoga sessions taught by Ashland Yoga experienced hatha
yoga teachers. The day begins early with a yoga session
involving invigorating poses to prepare for the more active
section of the river in the canyon. After rafting
through the great rapids in the canyon and relaxing riverside
with a gourmet deli style lunch we continue downstream.
In the afternoon on the lower 5 mile section of the river,
we will have a more relaxing and restorative practice to
end the day on a peaceful note of appreciation for the
beauty of the river. On the 2 day overnight trips
we return to camp and relive all the days events over a
wonderful 4 course dinner around the campfire. After dinner
we get together for another group practice fireside under
the stars a great way to end a magical day.
Please bring comfortable
stretching clothes, with something warm to wear after practice
if the days or evenings are cool. Sticky mats will
be available, but bring your own if you prefer. Everything
else will be provided by the Adventure Center.
