Tour! See such natural wonders as the world famous Wild and Scenic Rogue
River ride up Highway 62 from Medford, Oregon. Follow the
Rogue River through the river town of Shady Cove stop at
Casey State Park on the River and Cole Rivers Fish Hatchery
(the nations 2nd largest Fish Hatchery) in the shadows of
the 387 ft. tall Lost Creek Dam (now called William Jess
Dam).  Your motorcycle tour will ride on up the uncrowded
Highway 62 to Prospect for a cold drink and a stop at Mill
Creek Falls. Entering the Rogue River National Forest just
out of Prospect you will marvel at the Old Growth Douglas
Fir Forest as Highway 62 becomes a ribbon through towering
Douglas Fir Timber Giants.
A stop at Union Creek and Becky's
Cafe is a must for lunch then walk the Natural Bridge Trail
and see where the Rogue River disappears underground. A few
miles outside of Union Creek you will come to the West
Entrance to Crater Lake National Park, one of the Seven
Wonders of the World!  Crater Lake has no outlet but
thousands of ice cold springs in the side of Mount Mazama
give birth to the famous Rogue River.
Ride
to the rim of Crater Lake, maybe take the rim drive which
circles the caldron that hold the 2000 ft deep lake. You may
choose to spend the night at the Crater Lake Lodge or ride
out the South Entrance and down the Wood River Valley to the
Klamath National Wildlife Area. Millions of Waterfowl and
other Birds such as Bald Eagles visit the refuge every year.
 At Fort Klamath turn left to Highway 42, on the way you will
pass Rocky Point a great stop for a canoe trip on the lake
or a cold drink, cabins are available. Not far away is the
Running Y Ranch Resort, just turn southeast at the 140
Junction a few miles. Turning left on Highway 140 will take
you east toward Medford past high mountain lakes such as
Lake of the Woods and Fish Lake.
Just passed Fish Lake as Highway 140 starts down you will
find a nice road on the right which will take you to Willow
Lake and the logging town of Butte Falls.  Continuing on you
will meet Highway 62 again, turn left and your Motorcycle
tour will return you to Medford, Oregon. A Stay at Rogue
Regency Inn on the North side of Highway 62 just before you
meet Interstate 5 is always a good stopping point for the
night.
This is an example of a 1 or 2 day Motorcycle Tour you would
certainly enjoy, it is about 200 miles long, use your own
Motorcycle for this tour or rent one in Medford.

Applegate Valley, Applegate River and Applegate Lake. The
Oregon Caves National Monument,
the Redwood National Park, Smith River, the Southern Oregon

Coast to the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area and up
the Umpqua River, see Dean Creek Wildlife Viewing Area and
the Roosevelt Elk Herds.
 On
to Steamboat Lodge on the North Umpqua past Toketee Falls
back up to and visit Crater Lake and Down Highway 62 in a 3
to 4 day Motorcycle Tour.

coastal towns. Reach into the tip of Northern California's coastline as you loop
back up the Oregon coast and travel a mountain pass that delivers you onto a

Crater Lake - This trip zig-zags through beautiful Southern Oregon
along the banks of the Rogue River, through the best back roads to Crater Lake.
