Curbside Luggage Check
Curbside luggage check is available at most U.S. airports up to six (6) hours prior to flight departure. Northwest's curbside luggage check is fully compliant with all FAA security requirements and you will need to present required documentation and photo-identification. Review Luggage Information for Northwest's domestic luggage allowance.
After checking your luggage:
- If you have a boarding pass from nwa.com check-in, proceed directly to your gate.
- If you need a boarding pass, visit a Northwest Airlines Self-service Check-in Kiosk or see a Northwest agent.
Curbside luggage check cannot be used for:
- International itineraries including Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean.
- Luggage that exceeds piece allowance, is oversize or overweight.
- Pets traveling as checked luggage.

nwa.com Luggage Check Kiosks
Customers that have checked in on nwa.com can now quickly check their luggage at select airports using an nwa.com Luggage Check Kiosk.
- Simply scan your nwa.com Boarding Pass barcode to retrieve your flight reservations.
- Enter the amount of luggage you would like to check.
- Luggage tags will be printed and attached by a Northwest agent who will check your luggage to your final destination.
