Priority Pet

Your pet is important. For this reason, Northwest Airlines has enhanced and improved our Priority Pet Program. Northwest continues to provide several safe, comfortable travel options for your pet.

Your pet can travel accompanied on Northwest as:

  • Checked luggage on your flight
  • Carry-on luggage in the cabin
  • A service animal

For unaccompanied shipping options click here

Please inform Northwest at least 24 hours in advance of your plans to ship an animal, as the number of animals that can be accommodated on each aircraft is limited. Pets may not use passenger seats.
