Can't cue the weather . . . 5/18/2006 Well, we tried to do a show with Captain Dave Sutton on Tuesday and Wednesday, but the weather just blew us out. Hadn’t rained in Florida since November but as soon as we break the cameras out and try to do a good show down in South Florida catching some big goliath grouper and cobia and snapper, and guess what - Mother Nature decides she wants to drop the sky juice just then. Anywho, it’s great to be back in my home waters this weekend for the newest leg in the FLW redfish series tournament. Hopefully the fish will hold out for us. We’re a little disappointed in our ranking for the first day last year – number 81 – but we’re hoping to luck out and get to our spot without a whole lotta people around and do real good. So, got my fingers crossed. I’m hoping that our pre-fishing pays off. I was running my Phantom around wearing a disguise so nobody’d recognize me. ‘Cause I know there were a lot of people out there looking for a boat with me and Tadd in a couple of areas I knew would be high-profile ones for good fish. We got back in some of the holes we know and sure enough, there were some big fish in there. So we’re hoping they’ll still be in there tomorrow. Now, if for some awful reason we don’t make the top five, I’ll be taking people for rides in the Ranger 2300 so people can check out what Evinrude’s E-Tech feels like. Which is great. Next we’re heading to Miami to film a show (if it don’t rain, that is) Tuesday and Wednesday with Captain Rich Smith Tuesday…
