THE YELLOWFINS ARE HERE!!!!

Over the weekend, the "Sea Wolf", the "Justified" and the "Mojo" all had great days catching yellowfins in 150 fathoms between the Baltimore and Poorman's Canyons. The yellowfins averaged around 29 lbs.

Flounder are still biting in the Thorofare. Give trolling for flounder a try. You'll be surprised at the results. Just troll a Rattle Trap or live minnows.

Around 6:00 PM tonight, the guys fishing off the North Jetty were slaying the snapper bluefish, and an occassional striper.

STOP ON BY... If you catch a nice fish, don't forget you can drop by our office on Sunset Avenue, behind Crab Alley, and we will gladly take your picture. You can also call us at 410-213-2200 and we will come out to where you are and snap your picture.

Most folks don't know that there is some discussion about opening up striper fishing in the EEZ (3-200 miles). Right now you cannot fish for striped bass outside of 3 miles. If you have an opinion on this topic you can send your comments to Striped-Bass.Comments@noaa.gov. The comment period is open until May 24th.

SEND US YOUR PICTURES!!!!

Please make sure your camera is set to the highest possible resolution/picture size. When you send them, do not allow the program to compress the file. Send it LARGE!

If you have a picture you would like to submit, you can email it to me at larry@coastal-fisherman.com. If you would like for us to take a picture of your catch, either come by our office behind Crab Alley on Sunset Avenue or call us at 410-213-2200 and we will come out and take your picture.
