Verifying Your 3-in-1 Credit Report
When you receive your 3-in-1 Credit Report you should review it carefully and verify:
- Your name (including prefix and suffix)
- Your addresses (former and current)
- Your Social Security Number
- Your date of birth
- That you recognize all accounts listed as your own
- That all credit/charge accounts are listed accurately
- That outstanding balances/limits on the accounts are correct, as of the dates shown
- That payment histories are correct
- That derogatory information has been deleted after seven years (10 years in the event of bankruptcies, except successfully completed Chapter 13 bankruptcies, which are removed after seven)
- That you recognize all listed inquiries
