Forestry Technician GS-462-9/10 (Sale Administrator) - 2 positions
The Six Rivers National Forest will soon be filling two Sale Administrator positions, GS-462-9/10 Forestry Technicians and is conducting outreach to assess interest in the positions. One position will be located at either the Orleans Ranger District in Orleans, California, or the Lower Trinity Ranger District, Willow Creek, CA. One position will be located at either the Mad River Ranger District, Mad River, California or the Supervisors Office, Eureka, California.
Brief Description of Job Duties
The GS-9 position has primary resposibility for the administration of timber sales. This position also serves as a Contract Officer's Representative for service contracts and has other duties in sale preparation and fuels activities. This position must currently be a Certified Sale Administrator or has the training and experience in sale administration to become certified within six months.
The GS-10 position has primary resposibility for the administration of complex timber sales having diverse technical problems and features, including requirements of the Northwest Forest Plan. This position works with an exceptional degree of independence. This position must be a Certified Sale Administrator, have the ability to act independantly to perform complex sale administation duties, and to independanly perform the duties of a Forest Service Representative in the absence of the Forest Service Representative.
