Chamonix has just been voted one of the top ski resorts in the World. With five different ski areas on the one pass, each offering their own unique challenges, it's not hard to see why. Thanks to it's height, Chamonix has excellent snow from December until early May. The Vallee Blanche alone attracts snow sports enthusiasts from all over the world. It is the longest run in the world, measuring 24km of mesmerising off piste skiing, right down the back of Mt Blanc, Europe's tallest mountain, and boasting some of the most spectacular glacial scenery anywhere (a guide is reccomended and the Vallee Blanche is for experienced skiers/snowboarders). Although we don't think you'll have time, there are also plenty of non-skiing activities to keep you busy here, such as a visit to the Mer De Glace (the 'Sea Of Ice') or up the Aiguille Du Midi, the World's tallest cable car, with stunning views of the Mt Blanc glaciers. Not to mention the apres-ski! With over 100 restaurants, pubs and clubs, the partying in Chamonix can go on as long as you like (or as long as you can last!).
