Old-Fashioned Favorites Bloom at the Chicago Botanic Garden

Come to the Chicago Botanic Garden to experience the lushness of prairie wildflowers, the fragrance of peonies and wisteria and the abundance of the Fruit and Vegetable Garden.

Enjoy the romance of the Rose Garden, the serenity of the woods and the brilliance of annual flowers in beds and containers.  Summer annuals are being planted in the Esplanade, English Oak Meadow and Sensory Garden and in containers everywhere.

Many old-fashioned perennials are in bloom including peonies, bearded iris, viburnums, spireas, ornamental onions, coral bells,  columbines and wild geraniums.

If you want to see some more unusual plants, look for fringe trees in the Landscape Garden, nodding lilacs in the parking lots and desert false indigo along the shore west of Evening Island.
