Construction of "The Melancholy Moose Lodge" Rental Vacation Cabin was completed in March, 2004 by a local builder. The Log Cabin sits up high on 2.5 Private, Wooded Acres with Awesome Year Round Mountain Views and is less than 3 miles from the quaint town of Blue Ridge, Georgia.
The Cabin has (3) Three Levels of Living Space which include a Living Room, Dining Room, Kitchen, Large Loft/Family Room, two Master Suites and a partially completed Walk-out Basement. We just completed the 3rd bathroom in August, 2005 and later down the road, future construction is planned for the completion of a 3rd Bedroom, at the Cabin.
For your Added Enjoyment, the Cabin offers (3) Three Levels of Screened-in Porches, complete with Rocking Chairs, Deck Furniture and a Hot Tub. The Cabin has a Beautiful Stone Gas Log Fireplace with Remote and is available Year Round. In the Lower Level, there is an Electric Pot Belly Stove. The Rental Vacation Cabin has Central Air and Heat throughout. You will also find a total of (4) Four Televisions with Satellite, DVD, VCR, CD, Surround Sound and Stereos. Our newest upgrade is a 52" Big Screen Satellite TV, located in the Loft/Family Room. The Cabin is equipped with a Wireless DSL connection and phones on each level. There are a variety of Books, Games, DVD's, CD's, Video's and Cards for your Entertainment.
The Lodge is decorated in a "Woodland Motif", complete with Log Furniture, Wood Blinds, Pinecones, Twigs and lots of Trees. Throughout the Cabin you will find a variety of Moose, Bear, Deer and Elk characters, guaranteed to put a smile on your face. You can make your way Downstairs to "DIRTY DAVE'S SALOON" (the Rec Room). The Saloon has an "Old West" flare. It is equipped with its own Bar with Refrigerator and Microwave, Seating Area, POOL TABLE, Queen Sleeper Sofa, TV, DVD, and Stereo with Surround Sound. The double French doors take you out to another Screened-in Porch. The Large Capacity Washer and Dryer are also located on this Level.
Both Bedrooms are Beautifully and Comfortably Decorated, the upper bedroom offers a King Log Bed and the main level bedroom offers a Queen Log Bed, Night Stands, Benches, Dressers and TV's. Each Room takes on its own Personality and is equipped with Additional Pillows, Linens, Blankets and Throws. There are three full Bathrooms, two of which have Hanging Chandeliers, Separate Showers & Large Jetted Garden Tubs; all bathrooms are equipped with Hair Dryers, Plush Robes, Towels and are Stocked with most all your needs.
The Cabin Kitchen has everything needed to prepare a Gourmet Meal or Bake a Cake. The Appliances are all Electric and include a Ceramic Cook Top Range and Oven, Over the Range Microwave, Side-by-Side Refrigerator with In-door Ice and Water Dispensers, Dishwasher, Garbage Disposal, Double Moen Sink with Detachable Faucet, Toaster Oven, Can Opener, Mixer, Blender, Coffee Maker, Crock Pot and Tea Kettle. You will also find Service for 8 in Lodge Dishes, Glassware and Flatware. Ample Pots and Pans, Mixing Bowls, Platters, Tableclothes, Placemats, Dinner Napkins and all the Cooking Utensils. We also supply a variety of other goodies for your convenience.
