Rod holders are used by anglers
who want to:
- Fish with two or more lines simultaneously. (Doubles
or triples an angler's catch potential.)
- Wait for the fish to start feeding. (Nothing's biting
now, but that won't last forever.)
- Conveniently protect their rod/reel while removing and
caring for their new catch. (Grit will ruin a reel and
the convenience the Restin'Ready provides is unparalleled.)
- Help others out from time to time. (Fishermen are
often called on to bait hooks and remove catches for the squeamish
fishing partner/friend/family.)
- Continue fishing while attending to other pressing issues.
(Sometimes you just need your hands free.)

The Restin' Ready may be set up quickly
on ocean, lake, or river bank simply by applying foot pressure
to the ground-mount rings while gently rocking the unit from
side to side.

A rope cleat (readily available
from any hardware or marine store) can be fastened to the
surface of your dock to provide a quick and easy way to
secure the Restin' Ready during use. (Slide the Restin'
Ready forward to engage the rope cleat; slide it backward
to disengage.)

On impervious surfaces where a rope cleat installation is
impractical, place a small cooler (weighted with water from
the surrounding habitat, bait, or other items) on the unit.
The cooler may also be used to carry your catch home. This
technique works well on ice, pier, or paved jetty.
