With lots of flat land in ample supply, residential growth in the Las Vegas Valley has been with few exceptions, horizontal. Now, new high-rise condominium are being developed and Las Vegas going vertical.
Until a few years ago, the Regency tower at Las Vegas Country Club was the most plush luxury condominium living Las Vegas had to offer. Regency Towers opened at the Las Vegas Country Club in the 1970s and has been home to the city's elite from developers to celebrities.
There are now several major developments making Las Vegas possibly the most active city in the U.S. in terms of new construction. Las Vegas luxury high-rise condominium projects have begun to alter the skyline - Turnberry Place, Madison Towers, Park Towers, & Versailles:
A new luxury hi-rise, Turnberry Place, is well under construction. Two of the planned four 40-story towers have been completed, and residents are enjoying the Turnberry lifestyle. Tower Three is under construction with completion scheduled for early 2004. It is a 15 acre gated community and is located opposite the Las Vegas Hilton, on Paradise road and is priced from $350,000 to over 3 million.
Madison Towers, another high rise development is planned just North of Turnberry Place. Developed by Turnberry Associates to meet the needs of homeowners wanting the upscale amenities and features of Turnberry Place within a more affordable price range.
The luxury Park Towers consists of two 20-story towers and is located in the Hughes Center just east of the strip, priced from $720,000 to $4,250,000
The pricey Versailles, in the 1 to 8 million range, will be built north and west from Charleston and Rampart and is based upon the Palace of Versailles in France. Three elegant high rises with a maximum of 28 residences will be rounded out with a luxuriousness which, according to the developer, "will surpass the experience of residences in Chicago's Gold Coast, Los Angeles' Bel-Air, and New York's Park Avenue. These are truly 'estates within an estate.'"
