GooglePreview

A Mozilla Firefox browser extension that inserts preview images (thumbnails) of web sites and Amazon products into the Google and Yahoo search results pages. Thumbnails are provided by thumbshots.org and alexa.com.

Install version 1.3.1
from the official Mozilla Update site,

When installing from this site you may see this at the top of the html window:



This is to protect you from malicious extensions (which GooglePreview is not ;-). To install press 'Edit Options...' then 'Allow' and 'OK' and click on the version 1.3.1 installation link again.

Usage

  • After installation restart your Firefox, and try a search on a Google search site or Yahoo.
  • To disable GooglePreview click on in the status bar (bottom right corner) -> click again to enable.
  • If you only see gray borders next to the search results, you probably configured Firefox to load images from the originating web site only (goto Tools->Options->Web Features->Load Images and turn off 'load images from originating web site only')
