About Alaska Fishing Trips, Alaska West Air.

These pages describe Alaska West Air’s most popular fishing trips. Our goal is to provide you with an unforgettable fishing experience. If you have a trip in mind that is not listed here, let us know about it and we will be glad to work it up and give you a quote.

Several of our trips require a minimum number of people - if you are interested in one of these trips, but don’t meet the minimum number of people, just let us know - we are usually able to fit you in with others to fill the minimum requirements for trips.

Shore lunches are available! This is a special treat. Your guide will bring the accompaniments and cook your fish on the shore. The cost is only $15.00 per person. If you prefer to take all of the catch home, sack lunches are available for $10.00.

Cancellation Policy: Fishing Trips

If you cancel your trip 60 or more days prior to your departure date, you will receive a refund in the amount of your deposit less a 10% processing fee. If you cancel your trip 59 or less days prior to your departure date, there is no refund. If your trip is cancelled due to weather, and you cannot reschedule, you will receive a refund.

Payment Methods: Deposits- Personal checks, cash(in person), credit card*. Final Payments are due before you fly. Cash, traveler’s check or credit cards* are the preferred methods for final payments.
*There is a 3% surcharge on all credit card transactions.

*National Park Fees*:

Several of the finest fishing destinations we serve are located within the borders of Alaska’s many National Parks. Because of the difficulty in collecting these fees, the Park Service has given this task to the Vendors in certain National Parks. The following is a list of Parks we serve, the destinations in these parks, and the day fee per person for accessing them. There is a possibility that Park fees may apply to destinations not listed here. These fees will be added to the cost of trips into the National Parks.

Katmai National Park:

Brooks Camp - $14.00 per person, per day
American Creek, Kukaklek Lake, Nonvianuk Lake, Moraine Creek, Kulik River, Geo-Graphic Bay, Amalik, Swikshak, Big River, Kaflia, Kamishak River and Hallo Bay are all $6.00 per person, per day.

Lake Clark National Park

Lake Clark, Chilikadrotna River, Chinitna Bay, Crescent Lake (applies only to camping, not day trips), Kijik River, Kontrashnibuna Lake, Telaquana Lake, Tikakila River, Turquoise Lake, Twin Lakes (does not apply to stays at Windsong Wilderness Lodge), Tuxedni Bay and Two Lakes.
All locations are $6.00 per person, per day, except where noted otherwise.
