In 1999, UKFast.Net Ltd began offering bespoke solutions to companies hungering for a dynamic Internet presence. With its customer focus and home-grown expertise, UKFast adapted quickly to the new era of innovation.
Great success as a Nominet Registrar allowed UKFast to invest in its own Research and Development projects. Very quickly, an ability to predict market demand became a speciality. The projects gave birth to the Reseller model of hosting, which suited UKFast’s berth of Web Design clients and enabled them to become second level Web hosts themselves.
When the Broadband market took off, UKFast made a decision to grow in line with its clients instead of becoming a blanket ADSL supplier. MD Lawrence Jones realised that a total focus on Internet connections would mean growing as a company ‘over night’, which inevitably sacrifices customer service.
As a business-to-business supplier, hosting services were a more satisfying provision. So, UKFast went against the popular trend by placing emphasis on Web and Email services, making Internet connection a companion service.
This concentration on hosting services sets UKFast apart from many other top level ISP’s. It also means that UKFast has remained at the forefront of UK hosting and is today the fastest growing provider of dedicated server solutions in the UK.
As a privately owned business, UKFast has the luxury of taking it’s time developing and fine tuning its services without the worry of impressing shareholders but with the single goal of offering its clients the best online solutions available.
UKFast continues to develop helpful online tools and customer self serve systems, which not only set standards for the industry, but also lower the end cost of services, hugely improving customer satisfaction.
The UKFast online control panel now integrates customer accounts, enables resellers to pay invoices online, view their accounts or make modifications to their existing server packages. Customers can have as much or as little control as they want. If they desire, they can pretty much host themselves or have their solutions monitored 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
In tandem with its solutions UKFast has built its network year on year. Today it is one of the fastest Internet access providers in the UK and its clients sit on a Network in the UK’s top ten for both availability and uptime.
UKFast continues to grow with a firm eye on its clients. Late 2004 saw new staff in the areas of Marketing and PR and 2005 has seen an expansion of the accounts team, a doubling of the research and development team and new designers joining the ranks.
UKFast intends to remain a driving force behind the development of the industry - well into the future. And as 2004’s Best Business ISP and 2005’s Best Hosting Provider, it faces a tough job living up to its reputation.
