At present, there is no universally accepted definition of what constitutes broadband Internet access. In general, the term “broadband” implies the following:
A fast Internet connection is generally considered to be
at least five times (5x)as fast as a conventional dial-up connection
(i.e. 256 kbit/sec). Many people people feel that the threshold is
actually much higher (20x or more).
