The Running Y is always on the lookout for qualified, conscientious, guest-oriented individuals. Listed below are brief descriptions of job opportunities we currently have available. Job openings are updated weekly. If you're interested in applying for a job please fill out our employment application (PDF) or stop by the Running Y Employee Services Department, 5409 Running Y Road , Klamath Falls, OR 97601 between the hours of 8:30am-3:30pm to complete an employment application. We must have a completed & signed application to begin reference checks if we feel you have the qualifications we desire.  After checking your references you will be notified if we have a need to conduct a personal interview.

ASSISTANT ACTIVITY PROGRAMS
The Running Y Resort has a job opening of approximately 8-12 hours per week for our Activity and Event Program.  Must be 16 years or older due to our employment certificate from the State of Oregon.  Responsibilities include:  Working a very flexible schedule, plan, develop and carry out activities and assist with resort events. Must be able to organize and lead family-orientated activities; have excellent verbal and written skills; be self-motivated, a problem-solver and trouble-shooter.  Must be available to work through September 4, 2006.  Pre-employment testing, drug test and background check required.  Jobs close when filled.

SERVER
The Running Y Resort has a job opening for a server at the Ranch House Restaurant. Responsibilities include: serving food and beverages to customers, bus tables, handle money, prep the dining room and wait staff station, clean after shift.  Must maintain personal hygiene according to health, safety and Running Y standards.  Must be 16 years or older due to our employment certificate from the State of Oregon. Flexible schedule including the ability to work evenings, holidays and weekends.  Pre-employment drug test, pre-employment testing and criminal background check (if over 18 years old). Must be able to obtain a Food Handlers card and, if over 18 years old, an OLCC License within 30 days.

GOLF MAINTENANCE
The Running Y is looking for seasonal workers for our golf maintenance department.  Responsibilities include:  operating various golf course maintenance equipment (we’ll train you!).  Overall course maintenance may include raking bunkers, collecting debris, weeding, edging, trimming, seeding, etc.  Must have a valid Oregon drivers’ license, proof of vehicle insurance and be 18 years old or older.  Pre-employment drug testing, background check and pre-employment testing required. UTILITY TECHNICIAN
The Running Y (including our new RidgeWater property) has a full-time job opening for Utility Technician.  Responsibilities include operation and maintenance of waste water collection and water distributions systems including but not limited to waste water collection manholes and mains; lift stations; septic tanks; drain fields; and other on-site treatment works. Maintain and monitor water distribution system, including meter installation and reading, services, supply mains, valves, reservoir, pumps, and wells. Additional responsibilities include development and maintenance of a coliform sampling plan, collection of required samples (potable and wastewater) and reporting test results to OHD and/or DEQ. High School diploma or GED required. Must possess a current wastewater collection system certificate, water distribution certificate and a backflow device testing certificate or be able to be certified in a reasonable length of time. UTILITY MANAGER
The Running Y (including our new RidgeWater property) has a full-time job opening for Utility Manager.  Responsibilities include: Overseeing daily operations and maintenance of the domestic water system and wastewater collection system; supervise and assist technicians with field work; assign and schedule work duties and responsibilities of staff; maintain records; prepare reports; billing; budgets; ensure water and wastewater systems conform to all Federal and State rules and regulations; work as a liaison with public, contractors and engineering firms; other duties as assigned.  Required certifications include Level II Wastewater Collection System Operator, Level II Wastewater Treatment System Operator, Level II Water Distribution System Operator, Cross Connection Specialist and Backflow Prevention Assembly Tester. High school graduate and some college experience desired. Pre-employment drug testing, background check and pre-employment testing required. Position closes when filled. EOE.

SENIOR LIFEGUARD
The Running Y Ranch Resort is looking for a full-time year round senior lifeguard for the Ella Redkey Pool in downtown Klamath Falls.  This person will work afternoons and evenings. Must have lifeguard certification; CPR, first aid, AED, and CPR for the professional rescuer; WSI or Swim Lesson Instruction Training; and 1 year experience as a certified lifeguard. Pre-employment testing, background check, and drug testing required. EOE.

HOUSEKEEPING
The Running Y Resort is looking for 2 part-time team members in our housekeeping department. Weekends and holiday work is required. Responsibilities include: cleaning of various rooms or units assigned within time guidelines; follow cleaning procedure order when cleaning assigned areas; comply with all safety procedures; able to work with several types of chemicals; may be required to assist in other work areas throughout the facility as assigned.  Position closes when filled. LANDSCAPER I
Position is for Full time, hourly. Possible reduction of hours during winter months Meet physical demands of the job, must be self motivated and able to work alone Must be able to follow instructions, ability to operate lawn care equipment, (walk mower, weed eater, chainsaw, etc.), cooperate and work with well within group situations Must be ready to do any job assigned, responsible for providing general landscape labor resort wide, snow removal as designated.  Pre-Employment Requirements: Pre-employment drug test, pre-employment testing, criminal background check.

LANDSCAPING SUPERVISOR
Position is a Full-time management, salary exempt.  Daily staff assignment.  Responsibilities include: tracking of labor, inventory control, project and staff supervision, snow removal program supervision, maintenance of equipment, maintain a safe work environment. Need knowledge of operating landscape equipment, knowledge of irrigation systems (operating and repairs), plant identification and turf maintenance.  Oregon Drivers License and proof of vehicle insurance is required and Pesticide applicators license is preferred.  Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job.  Pre-Employment Requirements: Pre-employment drug test, pre-employment testing, criminal background check.

IRRIGATION TECHNICIAN
Position is for Full-time, hourly.  Maintenance, repair, replacement and scheduling of all designated resort irrigation systems, other landscape duties as assigned, trencher operation, maintain, repair, replace, install low voltage lighting systems, operation of snow removal equipment, operation of landscape equipment. Must have first hand knowledge of irrigation system components, understanding of hydraulics and irrigation design.  Must have Oregon Drivers license and proof of vehicle insurance.  Pre-Employment Requirements: Pre-employment drug test, pre-employment testing, criminal background check.

BARTENDER
Serve customers various types of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Will help with bussing tables, cashier responsibilities, tending bar, prepping the bar, restaurant, catering events, and hosting when required. Must be responsible individual willing to stop serving customers if they appear. Education and/or Experience: Must have previous bartending experience and have a high school diploma or equivalent degree. This position is part-time work with various work hours. Must be able to work afternoons, nights, weekends, and holidays. This position may be subject to seasonal reductions due to lack of work. Pre-Employment Requirements: Pre-employment drug test, integrity survey, criminal background check.

JANITORIAL
Cleaning and maintaining the kitchens and Food and Beverage areas.  To include but not limited to kitchens, dry storage, prep areas, and equipment found within.  This person will come in after hours and be responsible for the cleaning and upkeep of those areas and the security while on duty. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The housemen are responsible for cleaning and stocking the following buildings: The Convention Center, Ranch House Restaurant, Wetlands Bar, Outside pavilion. Marginal Duties and Responsibilities: He/she may be required to assist in other work areas through out the facility as assigned. Education and/or Experience: Prior housekeeping/janitorial experience preferred. This position is full-time, with reduction in hours possible with seasonal changes and overtime hours during peak season.
