About the Angling Trades Association

The ATA was formed to represent manufacturers, wholesalers, distributors and retailers of fishing tackle and equipment. From rods and bait to clothing and seat-boxes the rigorously selected membership of the ATA will be able to provide you with high quality service and superior products.

All members abide by a strict code of practice to ensure quality and reliability in goods and services and to ensure members act responsibly on environmental issues.

Benefits of Angling Trades Association Membership

- The ATA takes collective action to meet common needs at Government level or to resolve problems within the industry.

- The ATA holds general meetings four times a year that are open to all members to allow free discussion on industry matters.

free of charge, a specially commissioned report on participation levels within the UK

- ATA members can purchase a unique and comprehensive survey on the sports market within the EU for only £400, saving £1100 on the non-members rate

- The ATA actively promotes angling through highly successful campaigns such as "Take a Friend Fishing" and "Give Angling a Go".

- The ATA, in conjunction with Brooksby College, the Commercial Coarse Fisheries and many high profile anglers, clubs and retailers, have set up the Professional Anglers Association (PAA) which aims to create a body of fee-earning professionals who would train and encourage people in the art of angling.
