Gavin & Gae,
Thank you for sharing your home with us. The stay was very warm, peaceful, and comforting. You can tell that both of you take great pride in what you do. Don't ever lose that passion. Your patrons benefit from your hospitality. Needless to say, the breakfasts were delightful and the room was very relaxing. We particularly enjoyed the Jacuzzi tub. What a pity we have to leave!

From the Zen-inspired suite, to the mesmorizing hot tub to the fabulous four-course breakfast, this was one of the greatest B&B experiences we've had. The location is perfect and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. They lined us up for ferries, great Chinese food and anything we needed. The coffee kept flowing in the morning. The port and cognac in the evening capped perfect days. If you want to explore Victoria, it's a perfect perch. If you want to stay inside all day, the design and architectural details surround you with warm. Rain-style showers, plush robes and slippers are all nice touches. We especially liked the lack of televisions to soothe our escape. Forget the fancy hotels and the other B&Bs. This place is Nirvana.

Our stay at Ambrosia was delightful and made our vacation in Victoria even more special. The rooms were impeccably clean and the service was bright and cheery. We had coffee and cookies when we arrived, and there was wine and cheese waiting for us when we returned in the evening. The word bathroom does not do justice to the spa rooms in each suite. It was a suite unto itself. We would recommend this spot to the Queen herself!

Being orginally from Victoria, I had never stayed at a B&B in my home town. My mistake! Our stay at Ambrosia was amazing! The room was fantastic. It included everything you would ever want for a relaxed, romantic weekend get-away. The warm, friendly service, the fireplace, the glass of wine on arrival, the bathroom.......wow! This is one of the best B&Bs we have stayed in and I would highly recommend it to anyone!

Enjoyed a very comfortable stay with all kinds of attention to detail, including a welcome with your wine preference and hor d'oeuvres, truffles on our pillows at night, a fresh gourmet breakfast, and the most comfortable king-size bed. Also loved the rain shower and aveda bathroom amenities, which you are encouraged to take home with you (they supply plastic bags for the bars of soap!) The hostess was friendly and made reservations for our restaurant. Location is ideal, only a couple of blocks from downtown.

We stayed at the Ambrosia for our 15th anniversary and had a wonderful, relaxing, pampered time. We have been to Victoria many times and stayed in other B&B's; None have been as outstanding as this one was. Gae and Gavin are very friendly and helpful. The Isis suite was just perfect for us. It was nice to get away from TV, lounge in "comfy" robes and slippers with the fireplace on, listen to music and talk. The jetted tub is very relaxing - (we're going to buy the same one and put it in the house we are building! And the heated tile floor was a nice addition.) The breakfasts were incredible! The details they attend to make all the difference.

It is in a great location, near Beacon Hill Park and just blocks away from the Harbor, Museum, etc.; So it's very easy to walk anywhere and not worry about parking. We have already recommended the Ambrosia to many friends and will definitely be back ourselves!

My husband and I had never stayed at B&B before so we didn't really know what to expect...
The room was huge, the bed extremely comfortable (my husband wanted to bag one of the pillows he loved them so much), the bathroom was gorgeous and the breakfasts were to die for. We had a tea/coffee station outside our room with freshly baked cookies for when we came back to our room in the afternoon.
I was a little surprised to learn that owners had changed, so I was biased as soon as I got there, but Gavin and Gae were very nice and took great care of us. They make your breakfast an experience, everything was excellent.

This was by far the greatest B&B we stayed at. Marvelous location, beautiful house and lovingly decorated AND we were welcomed with great wine (and we are great wine lovers) and good cheeses. Our breakfast was extraordinary - excellent coffee - broiled grapefruits with maple syrup
- WOW - fresh croissants with Saskatoon berries - smoked salmon and asparagus crepes - WOW and WOW. To finish a chocolate bread pudding with chocolate coulis - to die for. I have to say no other B&B breakfast ever came close to this one. Gavin and Gae are welcoming and enthusiastic about what they do. Also loved that fireplace in our room - nice touch.
Thank you. We will be back for sure.

My husband and I spent two nights here for our anniversary, and it was the perfect retreat! The rooms are not busy and cluttered like a lot of B&B's, but sophisticated and elegant. The heated floors in the bathroom, and the dual shower heads were fabulous!

The hosts are friendly and were very helpful in arranging dinner reservations for us and other tourist type events. And they prepare incredibly beautiful, tasty breakfasts! We look forward to staying there on our next trip to Victoria! We went away for our anniversary, we had never stayed at a bed and breakfast, but this is and was beyond our highest expectations. This five star performance was a weekend we will never forget. The service, the food, the host, were all amazing, and more than most five star hotels. If you want to get away, forget your worries, and relax, turn everything off, this is where you want to be. Being right downtown, we also had the pleasure of walking everywhere we needed to. Thank you so much for the time, no question we will be back. We have told everyone they need to make this trip as part of any weekend they want to get away. Hope to see you much sooner than later!

Wonderful, we stayed in the Zen suite and were completely blown away.
Besides the 80 gallon Jacuzzi tub and feather bed ( you will fall asleep
instantly) the little touches really made the difference. From the gourmet welcome tray and champagne, robes and slippers or the candles and relaxing cds they truly thought of every luxury we could need. It is hard to go back to the real world after being treated like royalty. The four course breakfast is phenomenal!!

The Ambrosia Bed and Breakfast was a delightful place to stay. It is very close to downtown Victoria-which made it a perfect location for us, as we had walked onto the ferries. The Ambrosia was a beautiful, historic home and well decorated in modern theme inside. The breakfasts' we enjoyed were AMAZING!! By far the best breakfast we had ever had. The hosts were wonderful people and knowledgeable of the island. They pampered us royally and we loved every minute. We recommend this place highly to anyone who wants to get spoiled while staying in Victoria-we are excited to stay there again some day soon.
