Voyager Analyzer
Voyager Analyzer is
a comprehensive reporting add-on module for Voyager. Based
on industry-leading Cognos business intelligence technology,
this powerful Web-based reporting system dramatically expands
a library's reporting capabilities across all of the diverse
resources managed by Voyager without requiring any modifications
to existing IT resources. Analyzer is the same comprehensive
reporting solution in use within Endeavor's cutting-edge electronic
resource management system, Meridian.
Automated Retrieval Systems/Remote Storage
Voyager offers many capabilities for allowing user-initiated
retrieval of material from storage facilities. For libraries
where remote high-density storage assists in housing materials,
Endeavor offers not only an interface for the software that
manages these facilities, but also an interface for the robotics
that assist in item retrieval. With a smart design and open
architecture, Voyager offers an interface between public
access modules and the capabilities needed to build the databases
that control remote storage sites.
Geospatial Search Capability
Voyager's geospatial search provides specifically tailored
searching for researchers to navigate within map collections.
With a powerful search engine that pinpoints only those maps
that include the exact coordinates entered, Voyager with
the geospatial module offers searches that may be further
limited by map projection or scale to ensure only the best
records are returned through Voyager's relevance ranking.
InterLibrary Loan Module
The Interlibrary Loan extension product is a completely integrated
Interlibrary Loan (ILL) and document fulfillment management
module. Offering patron initiated requests with real time status
updates, extensive tracking and reporting capabilities, plus
built-in interfaces to OCLC, RLIN, DOCLINE® and the British
Library, the Endeavor Voyager® ILL module is fully compliant
with ILL standards. Libraries with Endeavor's Voyager® ILL
module can
easily track ILL lending and borrowing activities
while ensuring the statistics and reports often needed for
and from busy ILL departments.
Media Scheduling
A quick and simple solution to create reservations for multimedia
materials or to assign room bookings, Media Scheduling combines
media and equipment management with full reporting, complete
collection management and powerful media searches. A fully
integrated, user-friendly solution, Media Scheduling ensures
the total management of media center activities.
Standard Interface Protocol
The Voyager Standard Interchange Protocol, based on SIP/ SIP2
is a communication layer between an external client system,
such as a 3M SelfCheck, Talking Tech, Checkpoint etc.,
and Voyager Circulation. It translates messages between the
two systems allowing patrons to charge items to themselves
without the intervention of library staff.
Universal Borrowing
Voyager's Universal Borrowing provides a structure for reciprocal borrowing in
a consortium setting. With Universal Borrowing, a patron can request, borrow
and return materials from any library in their school's consortium. Borrowed
items are returnable to any Universal Borrowing library and all internal tracking
is noted in real time for efficiency and accuracy of records in all libraries.
Universal Catalog
Voyager's Universal Catalog gives multi-database Voyager libraries
the ability to create a centralized union catalog. The Universal
Catalog offers users access to a de-duplicated database of
bibliographic records, and the detailed holdings and item
information from the databases of the local libraries. Universal
Catalog provides only the best records for consortia databases,
saving time and money for the multiple libraries involved. |
