Is Something Happening? --- SEPR

SEPR (Sepracor Inc.)

SEPR is a research-based pharmaceutical company, engages in the discovery, development, and commercialization of differentiated products primarily for the treatment of respiratory and central nervous system disorders in the United States.

It had an abnormal jump yesterday. If you check its daily chart, you should see that a similar one was occurred one month ago. I could not find strong news about it. By my experience, and some other technical and fundamental reasons, I think you should take it as a short term opportunity.

Its closing price, as of 6/19/06, is $54.15.

It is a target for short and middle term player and very risky.

My suggestion: Buy (7.5) for short term
Instruction: Must adopt risk control.

Widely Watched --- CHK

CHK (Chesapeake Energy Corp.)

CHK engages in the development, acquisition, production, exploration, and marketing of onshore oil and natural gas properties in the United States. It owns big gas, and some oil, reserves.

CHK has excellent fundamentals. Its current price range is very attractive. I think it is good time to get in when the oil and gas stocks are not hot yet. It is safe to have a company such as CHK in your portfolio. Its potential is very good also.

Its closing price, as of 6/19/06, is $28.71. It is good for all kinds of investors. Its volatility will benefit the short term players; its long run potential will benefit the long term investors.

My suggestion: Buy (9)
Instruction: There seems a support at $27-$28. Buy it whenever the price is low.

Weekly Review (6/12/06 – 6/16/06)

Keep Watching

We had a very interesting time. The market found its support and changed a little this week. For the week, the Dow rose 1.13 percent, while the S&P; 500 slipped just 0.06 percent and the NASDAQ lost 0.24 percent.

The market showed some resistant finally. It presented to us how unreasonable and volatile the market is. I guess a lot of technical models were lost their ground during this week.

There won’t be any big economic news for the coming week. The market will keep its mess for a while. I think the mid week would be the crucial time for the market.

Is the market at the bottom? I am not sure yet. There is a bigger possibility that the market will keep its down trend another time. If there is another down, after certain points, you should start to take long position.

I don’t suggest people to take big action in the coming week, but play small portion with the volatility.

Good luck!

When Will Be the Next Check From the Courtroom? --- RMBS

RMBS (Rambus Inc.)

RMBS designs and licenses technologies used to speed communications between microchips, especially DRAM.

Its legal targets account for almost all of the world's production of DRAM. It filed several lawsuits against the big chipmakers. In March 2005, it inked a settlement worth up to $150 million with Infineon Technologies (IFX); and in April 2006, it won a pivotal $307 million jury award in its suit against Hynix. The ongoing lawsuits will bring it some big checks sooner or later.

It is a risky one also. There are factors you should keep in mind:
1. The insiders sold their stocks from $47 to $32. It was one of the big reasons that help the stock slide recently.
2. Its CEO sounds like not very Well Street friendly.
3. The SEC is investigating its option granting.

Even though, at the current price, RMBS is a very attractive one still. Any big win from the courtroom (probably not in the near future) would double or even triple as its current price. It is a good target for mid-term investors.

It closing price, as of 6/15/06, is $23.04.

My suggestion: Buy (7.5)
Instruction: Watch the news or any abnormal activity closely; adopt some risk control strategies.
