Job Title Product Integration Engineer
Description
The Product Integration Engineer develops, tests and implements new installation and upgrade scripts and processes for Endeavor Information Systems software. This would involve:•Creating UNIX shell / perl scripts to automate the installation and upgrade of Endeavor Information Systems software. •Maintaining a test environment to test and troubleshoot installation/upgrade scripts and processes as well as maintaining a staging environment to package and distribute software releases and patches to the customers.•Setting up and configuration of Sun hardware•Assisting in establishing Oracle database tuning parameters and guidelines.•Working with other technical departments to develop technical standards and best practices.•Staging/packageing 3rd party software.•Performing upgrades/patches of Endeavor and 3rd party software in customers’ environment.•Performing server hardware setup and operating systems configuration on Sun, AIX, Linux, or NTnteract with customer prior to and during the upgrade or installation, giving status reports, answering questions, and troubleshooting issues (including but not limited to Endeavor products, network issues, server issues and administration).•Providing technical training to customers upon installation of server on how to perform server administration in relation to Endeavor products (in local office or at national/international sites). Works closely with Customer Support, Implementation, and Product Integration Project Coordinator in communicating progress on customer upgrade/installation status and issues that may arise.•Assisting in technical certification trainings are regional user groups to educate customers on how to perform their own upgrades (in local office or at national/international sites).
Qualifications
Qualified candidates must be strategic thinking, self-starters, customer oriented with the ability work well under pressure. Excellent interpersonal/communication and team skills required. In addition, you must have strong UNIX admin and UNIX shell scripting skills and experience with installation of Sun, IBM or Windows servers (software and hardware). Oracle database and Perl scripting a plus. Some national and international travel is required.
