Planning a visit to Prague, are you?

You’re not alone. Millions of tourists traipse through the Golden City year after year – in fact, it is probably the most popular tourist destination in all of Central Europe, and is up there with Paris, Rome, and Barcelona in terms of the entire continent. What makes Prague special is the fact that many of the visitors who come here wind up staying for years. Why this is, it’s hard to say, and statistics on how many Americans and Brits are actually living here tend to fluctuate wildly. Truth is, nobody really knows how many Western foreigners are living in Prague. This has more to do with the transitory nature of the place than anything else. Oftentimes folks will save up money from their jobs at home, come out to Prague for a few months to live like Bohemian royalty, then go back once the money from home runs out, only to return again a few months later.

Whether you’re in town for a brief visit, to see the sights and sample the ever-popular Czech pivo, or are planning on staying for a bit longer, we’ve gone to the trouble of putting together everything you need to know on this convenient little site. Be forewarned – we’re opinionated and biased, but we’ve been here long enough to earn that privilege. If you want a more objective view of the Czech capital, feel free to buy a guidebook. Travel.Prague-Hotel.Co.Uk isn’t a guidebook – just a BS-free guide to Planet Praha, beyond (but including) the bridge and castle.
