I tested R-Studio on my 8 GB drive, which I've been using as a stand-in for my main 40 GB drive. It took about twenty minutes to scan the entire drive and identify everything, even old over-written files no longer recoverable. That 40 GB drive has been in mothballs these last six months waiting on discovery of a decent proggie that could identify and recover several gigabytes of unbacked data otherwise 'lost' in a repartitioning error. It's running on that drive even as I write and will take hours, but it's worth it. Huge 'thumbs up' on this brilliant and very affordable utility. I'll report on the extent of my success with it tomorrow!
