Tracking down print resources

If there is a particular book, journal article or item you want, the Australian Libraries Gateway can help you locate it.

Once you have all the details, check the libraries closest to home first (ie in your workplace, within your community or educational institution) - use the Gateway's 'Find a Library' option to check a library catalogue (if available online) and/or make direct enquiry about access to the item.

Once you have identified a library which has the item, you might consider pursuing an inter-library loan - or you may decide you wish to purchase a copy (especially if you cannot locate a copy for loan within an Australian library). Many Australian publishers and booksellers have easy-to-search databases listing Australian and overseas titles. Most will search databases and/or accept orders over the telephone, if not via the Internet.
