Dog Care And Behavior ExpertMost people who are successful and experts in their field began their career due to a love of their interests, dog care. Claudette Parker is no exception to this rule. Her passion for dogs began in childhood with her exposure to the greyhounds her grandfather raised. Following his example she began to accumulate knowledge and a rapport with very young dogs care. Her first pet was a Border Collie, Laddie, who was with her until she was 18 years old. Her ownership of a very disobedient Basset Hound named "Trudy" created the opportunity for her next training ground when she entered Trudy in obedience school. Trudy wasn't the only one to graduate; Claudette ended up with a certificate as an obedience instructor and trained for the Fun-Tier Kennel Club in Killeen, Texas, which created an opportunity to meet other pet professionals. She took grooming instruction from one of the members, Charlotte Gold, the author of "Grooming for Profit". NOTE Please click here for Claudette's "Frequently Asked Questions". Exhibiting "Ollie", her Wire Fox Terrier, gave Claudette experience in preparing and showing dogs care for AKC Conformation Shows. She also trained and socialized Borzoi puppies for the Kristull Kennel. To round out her knowledge of dog behavior, she trained and then worked as a veterinary technician for the Killeen Veterinary Clinic. Later, Claudette went on to open her own boarding kennel and grooming shop called "Roomin 'N Groomin".
Claudette now owns and operates Parker Pedigree Service, born from the desire to obtain pedigree information for her own dogs care. Her business offers the finest in pedigree research at an exceptionally affordable price. Dog Care: Play And ExerciseA dog requires regular exericse to remain fit and prevent it from becoming overweight which may lead to health problems. For the majority of dogs exercise and play is their one aim in life and so they will take as much as you can give. However it is important not to over-exercise puppies, particularly larger breeds, when bones and muscles are still developing. A dog will also enjoy play, whether with its owner or on its own and so toys play an important part in a dog's life. There are various dog toys available at pet stores and toys designed for chewing can be invaluable for diverting a puppy's chewing tendancies away from furniture. These toys also help to keep a dog's teeth clean and so are useful throughout life. Most dogs care love balls but be sure to get the right size ball for your dog - too small a ball could be swallowed and get caught in the dog's throat.
