The finest hours of the court of China (1662-1796)
A collection of painted scrolls

The exhibition offers an opportunity to discover the imperial scrolls. These brilliantly-coloured court paintings contain a wealth of picturesque detail.
The exhibition places these court paintings within a more general context of “great Chinese painting”, contrasting the colourful scrolls with monochrome paintings and ceramics by other artists contemporary with the Qing dynasty. This juxtaposition gives the visitor a comprehensive tour of the magnificent art of China’s last dynasty.

From 10am to 6pm. Closed on Tuesday.
