Paris Plage
Urban beach that hugs the Seine
Paris might boast that Paris-Plage is two miles long and uses some 3,000 tons of sand. There is certainly no shortage of beach-like activities, with a swimming pool, many cafes, snack bars, water fountains, loungers, hammocks, deckchairs and parasols, as well as t’ai chi....all of them free.
Night-time means cool music, an open-air cinema and dance performances, before the midnight close for a swift wash and brush-up, ready for a 7am start next day.
