Tour itinerary
Day 1. Arrive in Ulaanbaatar
and City tour
After arriving in Ulaanbaatar, You'll be greeted at
the airport and escorted to your hotel. City sightseeing
tour including a visit Gandan Monastery with its huge
gold plated Buddha, a symbol of Mongolian national
pride and cultural revival. See the monks chanting,
spin some prayer wheels and view the intricately embroidered
thanks. The next spot will be Sukhbaatar square, where
all central departments including Government house
situated on. Lunch in restaurant. Then, an excursion
to the Zaisan Hill War Memorial to get bearings with
a panoramic view of the whole city. On the way back
will visit Bogd Khan Palace, which is a series of
beautiful traditional buildings, where the last religious
King of Mongolia resided. Dinner and overnight in
the hotel.
Day 2-3. Terelj National
Park
After breakfast, we will drive to explore Terelj National
Park /70 km/ – most exciting spot near the city.
We will explore the extraordinary formation of rocks
and stones, which some of them looks quite similar
with Turtle, person who reading book and others –
by walking or horse riding, where we need to rent
horses from local area. The Terelj National Park is
one of the part of Khenty Mountain Range. The forest
consists from aspen, larch and birch, which supporting
bear, deer, wolf, wild boar, eagle and others. Then,
we will visit local horsemen family. There we have
a opportunity to experience their way of life, their
culture and traditions. Second day we will drive back
to Ulaanbaatar and overnight in hotel.
Day 4. Fly to Murun
and drive to Huvsgul National park
Early morning flight to the capital of the Huvsgul
province, Murun. The flight takes one and a half hours,
and on arrival at the airstrip in the Murun a local
driver, who will take you to Huvsgul lake National
Park, will meet you. Overnight in tourist camp. Full
board.
Day 5-7. Discover Huvsgul
National park
During three lovely days, we will explore the fascinating
and unique spot Huvsgul lake – biggest and deepest
/262 m/ fresh water lake in Mongolia. You have opportunity
to trek to the lakeside & mountain for exploring,
taking pictures, enjoy wildlife, flora & fauna
of Huvsgul lake area. The photographic expedition
can be made by horse riding, boating or walking. Lunch,
dinner and overnight in tourist camp.
Day 8. Drive to Murun
and return Ulaanbaatar
Up early you will be driven back to Murun with your
guide for your return flight to Ulaanbaatar. Relax
and in the evening you will go the concert of National
Folklore performance. Dinner in one of the finest
restaurant and Overnight in the hotel.
Day 9. Fly to South
Gobi and visit Eagle valley
In the morning we will fly to the capital of the South
Gobi aimag, Dalanzadgad. The flight takes one and
a half hours, and on arrival at the airstrip in the
Gobi a local driver, who will take you to Yolyn Am,
or ‘Eagle Valley’, will meet you. Trip
to Yol Am as picturesque place, there is ice even
in summer and surrounded by cheer rocky walls, forming
incredible canyons. Visit Gobi museum. The areas are
situated in the Gobi Gurvan Saikhan National Park
that encompasses the "Three Beauties" peaks
and the most easterly points of the Altai Mountains.
Overnight in tourist camp. Full board.
Day 10-11. Explore
Dinasaur’s land
Drive to Tugrigiin Shiree site, famous for the “Fighting
Dinosaurs,” a fossil of a Protoceratops and
a Velociraptor locked in combat. Also, visit the legendary
“Flaming Cliffs,” where, in 1922, the
first nest of dinosaur eggs the world had ever seen
was discovered. Overnight in tourist camp. Full board.
Day 12. Fly back Ulaanbaatar
and city tour options
After breakfast will have a flight back to Ulaanbaatar.
City tour options and you will be taken to souvenir
and cashmere shops. A farewell dinner and overnight
in the hotel.
Day 13. Departure back
Mongolia
You will be transferred from your hotel to the airport.
Rider Requirements: Riders must be 10 and over – under 65 years
of age (unless prior approval), weight limit is 220
pounds, and no pregnant rider; and for the
ride we screen for any health conditions that might
be affected by the 10,000 ft. elevation (heart, lungs,
elevation sickness, sun etc.)
