Tete a Tete
An exhibition devoted to the human head |
|
The Pompidou Centre is currently displaying heads of all shapes, sizes and materials. Aimed at visitors aged 5-12, the exhibition presents an interactive “tête-à-tête” between artworks from different epochs from the Louvre and the Pompidou centre.
Touching on ways of representation, the different components of the head, portraiture and the head as expression of emotion and identity, a lively scenography includes lots of touchy-feely interactive screens, distorting mirrors and sticky boards for kids to create their own strange faces.

Paris Jazz Festival

This year’s programme reveals the multiple facets of jazz, from blues and funk to fusion and be-bop. You’ll hear the best of European & American jazz, with performances by Ahmad Jamal, Richard Gallliano, Didier Lockwood, Mario Canonge and Kenny Garrett.
The Festival inevitably gets off to a rousing start; this year, you’ll also have the chance to visit a photo exhibition on jazz history and attend workshops at which the musicians will talk about their instruments.

Ready to Wear Fashion Shows

Each year, in September Paris hosts over a hundred women’s ready-to-wear fashion shows.
The Federation sets the shows schedules so avoiding time conflicts to enable both the Press and the buyers to cover the entire collections.
A collaboration has developed in order to organize the various show rooms exhibiting at the same time as the fashion shows and a co-ordination of the Milan and Paris schedules has taken place as well to ensure cohesion of the European presentations.
The schedule issued by the Federation is a strong visibility means for the brands as it is sent to some 2,000 journalists and to French and foreign buyers who currently attend fashion show in Paris.
