Paris Park and Gardens:The
present Bois de Boulogne is just a tiny part of the former forest
of Rouvray which surrounded Lutèce called by this name
until the XIVth century, after the oak trees which surrounded
it (Querus Robur). Under Philippe IV it was given the name of
the Bois de Boulogne following the construction.......
