26/Sep/2002
Melbourne, 26 September 2002 - Internet Registry Pty Ltd and its Director Paul Chesley Rafferty today gave undertakings to the Federal Court in the form of the interlocutory injunctions sought by auDA.
These undertakings cover matters arising from the ‘NetRegister’ mail out (sent to domain name registrants two weeks ago) and include the preservation of all records until the determination of the final proceedings..
As is standard practice, the Court has also made certain directions orders including that, prior to a full hearing, the matter be referred to mediation. Unless the mediation or other negotiations are successful auDA will be seeking, as final relief:
The next step in the proceedings is a directions hearing set down for 8 November 2002.
Internet Registry Pty Ltd and NetRegister have no connection whatsoever with auDA accredited registrar NetRegistry Pty Ltd.
