- How To Be a Game Warden in Six Easy Months — So you want to be a game warden? Before you can earn that honor, you've got to spend six grueling months training and learning. Follow a class of cadets as they find out if they have what it takes at the Game Warden Academy in Austin.
- Landmark Inn State Historic Site — Over 150 years ago, it served as a general store and rest stop for travelers heading west. Today, the Landmark Inn in Castroville is a bed and breakfast, where you can experience frontier Texas with all the modern comforts. Televisions not included.
- Wild Things: Animal Homes — From a simple nest of leaves and twigs, to complex underground condos, animals are capable of constructing a wide variety of homes to provide a safe place to raise a family.
- Hueco Tanks — Hueco Tanks State Historic Site is home to some of the most magnificent Native American Rock Art in the country. We'll show you what is being done to help preserve this piece of history, while still allowing access to hikers and rock climbers.

- The Latest Liquid Gold — Water is valuable, and water rights can be even more valuable. We'll see how one river authority acquired water rights to increase their options in providing water along the Colorado, the link that has to local farmers and hunters, and how another group of agencies is planning to divert water from the Guadalupe River and send it back to San Antonio via pipeline from the Texas coast.
- Outdoor Info: Outdoor Photo Tips — Get some tips on how to capture better images of nature with outdoor photographer Earl Nottingham.
- Meridian State Park — One of the oldest parks in Texas, this area was at one time inhabited by the Tonkawas and the Tawakonis. It was also the site of a Civilian Conservation Corp construction project that still stands today.
- Secrets of a Barrier Island — Take a trip across Matagorda Island, and learn all about barrier islands, their geology, ecology, and how they protect the Texas coast.

- Lone Star Land Steward: Shepard's Mountain Ranch — Much of the 1,300 acre Shepard's Mountain Ranch was mechanically cleared and planted in Bermuda and Bahia grasses during the 1970's. Owners John and Nellie Colson are using a variety of management techniques to restore the ranch back to its native habitat.
- Creatures of the Night — Ever wondered what types of creatures come out at night? Take a close up look at some of the nocturnal creatures of the Texas woods, and see what they do when the sun goes down.
