What is Mambo? Mambo is a 'free' web-based content management system, which allows its users to create, organise and update content using a web browser, without the need to know the web technicalities usually involved in producing content for the web. Mambo was developed 5 years ago by Miro International to be a simple to use web publishing system. It was released to the Open Source community and since then has been developed by members of the community into one of the most powerful Open Source Content Management Systems available. What is Mambo Love all about? As a non-profit organization, Mambo Communities have very limited resources at its disposal to market Mambo to the world. Mambo Love has been setup based on the principles of community involvement - much like forum.mamboserver.com, but this site has a focus on the global marketing and advocacy of Mambo. Mambolove.com has been specifically setup to form a global marketing network to strengthen the marketing and advocacy efforts of Mambo around the world. Who manages the Spread Mambo Love website? A team of dedicated volunteers from the Mambo community oversee the day-to-day running of the site, this includes updating news and information, managing enquiries etc. The objective of the site is to increase community involvement in the advocacy and marketing of Mambo. If you are interested in becoming part of the team or you know someone who might be, click here to provide us with the relevant information. All emails and information provided by you will be held in the strictest confidence. How can I be involved in Mambo Love? The simplest way to start is to sign up as an affiliate Mambo Lover. Once you have signed up, add your Mambo badges to your website, blog or in your email signature. And start spreading the Love. What are the perks of being a Mambo Lover? When you sign up as a Mambo Lover, you will receive:
How do I add a link to my website, email or blog? Once you have registered and logged into your account, click on the 'Badges & Links' tab in the navigation menu. This will open a page with a text link and badges, all you have to do is copy and paste the text link in to your website, email or blog. How can I track the number of clicks from my website, emails or blogs? When you sign up on the site, a unique ID reference will be assigned to you. This ID reference will allow us to track the number of clicks that we get from your website, emails or blogs. For each click-through from your site or emails, you will be awarded one point. The more clicks the more points. What are Love points? Love points are points awarded to you everytime someone clicks on the Mambo Love link on your website, emails or blogs . It is as simple as, a point for every click-through we get. Love points are setup to recognise members for their effort in helping to spread Mambo. The more points you get the higher you rank on the Love Scoreboard. I want to provide feedback on this website - where can I do that? If you would like to provide feedback, you have an enquiry or you have ideas you would like to contribute, you can write to us at Love Feedback. |
