A Forrester Research review of 375 websites evaluated 25 different site characteristics. Each characteristic was assigned a score of between +2 (strong pass) to -2 (strong failure). The results found a pitiful average score of -1.5, with the top rated site scoring only +26. Sixty percent of sites overall scored zero or less, and one quarter of sites were so badly designed that received scores of less than -8.
