What to expect from your In-Person Examination
CliniCareRx offers a variety of prescription medications that requires a copy of a recent exam to be kept on file for physician review and consultation. When scheduling an in-person examination through CliniCareRx, a professional examiner from ITS. (Integrated Testing Services) will be scheduled to complete the exam. ITS examiners are trained medical professionals who will handle your exam in a courteous and discreet manner.

You will be contacted by an examiner from ITS to schedule an appointment at your earliest convenience. The examination may take place at your home or office, ITS facility, or other convenient location. When the examiner contacts you, they will discuss exactly what will be done. Possibilities include:

• Paramedical Report
  A two page questionnaire asking for complete medical history, vital signs (height, weight, blood pressure, pulse and, for men only, chest measurements) and a urine specimen.
• Blood Profile
  Blood will be drawn from your arm or your finger as required by CliniCareRx. A urine specimen also is collected. Only sterile, disposable needles and supplies are used. Your blood will be sent to a laboratory designated by CliniCareRx. Results are sent directly from the lab to CliniCareRx and attached to your medical information and order. ITS never learns any test results.
• Electrocardiogram
  Also known as an EKG or an ECG, this is a painless procedure which requires that electrodes be placed on bare skin on your chest, arms and lower legs. You will need to lie flat, in a relaxed position in a location without any large electrical appliances running. (Some appliances can cause distortions in the EKG tracings.) Privacy will be required as you will need to partially disrobe.
• Physician Exam
  In addition to the elements in the paramedical report, the doctor will also perform a brief physical exam which will require you to disrobe. The parameters of the exam are defined by CliniCareRx.
• Treadmill EKG
  This is not a mobile test and if needed, ITS will schedule an appointment at a clinic convenient to you.
• X-rays
  This is not a mobile test and if needed, ITS will schedule an appointment at a clinic convenient to you.

How to prepare for your In-Person Examination
Please take note of the following items in preparation of an in-person examination.

• Please have available your physicians’ names and addresses as well as dates and reason for past visits, especially those within the past five years.
• Be aware that stress, caffeine, nicotine and some prescription and non-prescription medications can temporarily raise your blood pressure and pulse.
• Please drink a glass of water one hour or so before your appointment to facilitate providing a urine specimen. (only needed for certain medications)
• Avoid: smoking and strenuous activity/exercise for 2 hours; alcoholic beverages, nasal decongestants and all foods with Poppy seeds for 24 hours prior to the appointment.
• If a fasting blood profile is required, you will be notified when the appointment is scheduled. During the fast, you may consume water, black coffee and tea with no sweeteners.
• Have a picture ID (preferably a driver’s license) available.
• If you have any hypertensive tendencies try to schedule your appointment for a relaxed time.
• Wear a garment which is short-sleeved or has sleeves that can be easily rolled up.
• If you have a large upper arm you may require a large blood pressure cuff. Tell the examiner when scheduling the appointment.
