The Vancouver International Airport is situated in the City of Richmond, which is approximately 40 minutes from downtown Vancouver by bus, taxi or automobile.  Richmond is a clean, safe city that has many new hotels, some wonderful shopping malls, restaurants and many recreational opportunities.

Most of Richmond's hotels are located along Westminster Highway near No. 3 Road.  City buses run  frequently along No. 3 Road into downtown Vancouver and to the Vancouver International Airport.  Many hotels offer a free shuttle service between the Vancouver airport and the Richmond hotels. 

Visitors to Richmond can enjoy the dyke trails that circle the island city.  Picturesque Steveston Village, located in the south-west corner of the city is lovely to visit and can be easily reached by taking a city bus from Richmond Centre.
