San Remo, Italy7-9 September 2006 The International Institute of Humanitarian Law, in cooperation with the ICRC, is organising the 29th Round Table on Current Problems of International Humanitarian Law from 7 to 9 September in San Remo. The main subject of the Round Table is "Justice and reconciliation – An integrated Approach". The event is also an occasion to recall the 60th anniversary of the Nuremberg trials and their contribution to international justice.

Training courses
Master in Advanced Studies (MAS) in International Humanitarian Law
October 2006 - June 2007 - Geneva, Switzerland
The UCIHL offers to law graduates, a postgraduate degree for those wishing to specialise in the branches of international law that relate to armed conflict situations and states of emergency.
This annual course combines high level academic teaching with a professionally-oriented approach. The programme is full time, and can be followed either in English or French over a period of 2 semesters.

Short Course on International Human Rights Law
First semester : Late September to mid-December
Second semester: January to March - Notthingham, England
The courses are intended for persons who are interested in gaining an in-depth understanding of international human rights standards and the international machinery of the United Nations, Council of Europe, the OAS and the African Union for implementing these standards and how this machinery works in practice.

Seminar on International Humanitarian Law for University Teachers
28 August - 2 September 2006 - Geneva, Switzerland
The ICRC, jointly with the University Centre for International Humanitarian Law (Geneva) - assisted by a generous grant from the Swiss Federal Department for Foreign Affairs - will hold a training seminar on International Humanitarian Law (IHL) for full-time university teachers already teaching international public law or international human rights law and who are ready to make a commitment to teach IHL in their respective universities.

Advanced Training on International Humanitarian Law
16-21 July 2006 - Harvard University
The ICRC and the Harvard Program on Humanitarian Policy and Conflict Research will be hosting an advanced training course on international humanitarian law (IHL) for mid-career professionals concerned with the role of IHL in the work of governments, international organisations and humanitarian non-governmental organisations operating in conflict zones.

Doctors working in prison: human rights and ethical dilemmas
Online course
Many of those held in prisons around the world do not receive adequate medical care. To improve their access to quality health services, the ICRC has participated in a World Medical Association project to produce an internet-based course for doctors working in prisons.
