Kasilof
King 2005

Ken
Kraft caught the big fish of the year for Kenai
Outfitters on the Kasilof River. The fish was hooked at the
high banks fishing hole and was landed about a mile and a half
down river at Coho Cove. This huge king salmon was a true monster
weighing 55 lbs. Ken's battle began with this king salmon peeling
off over 100 yards of line before he could regain any control
at all. Ken used all of his fishing skills to battle the lightening
fish runs and ferocious head shakes. After what seemed like an
eternity of a battle Ken brought this huge king salmon to the
net. This big king was Ken's biggest king salmon ever. Ken used
a GLoomis fishing rod, Shimano Calcutta fishing reel, Ande Line
and a Willie Drift Boat to do battle with the mighty king salmon
on Alaska's Kasilof River. Thanks to Lee Young for the photo.
