Tobiko (Black) Squid Ink Flavor

Tobiko or "Tobikko" (also known as Flying Fish Roe) is becoming more popular with chefs in the states as it is quite versatile, and works well with variations of Japanese and even American cuisine. Squid Ink flavored tobiko has been flavored with squid ink which gives it the black coloring. These roes work well as garnishes of hors doeuvres, with sushi and in many Japanese recipes.
